Nora Almeida is an urban swimmer, performance artist, educator, and activist based in Lenapehoking. Her art explores intersections of archiving, environmental investigation, and spatial disruption. Recent public artworks—Refuge (onoing), Creek: Two Cavities of the Heart (ongoing), Open Water (ongoing), Last Street End in Gowanus (2021), and Land Use Intervention Library (2022)—focus on relationships between people, more-than-human species, and emergency, and urban ecology. She co-founder of the Hydrofeminist Map Collective.
